West Mercia Police supplier Telefónica Tech has committed social value in support of the region's drive to build safer communities.
They are one of many business suppliers now sponsoring cohorts of the Professional Action Learning Sets (PALS) programme, designed with the College of Policing to tackle real barriers to career progression for ethnically diverse police officers and staff within West Mercia Police.
Janice Phayre, ESG Manager at Telefónica Tech saw the brand relevance of supporting PALS; recognising the important strand it represents for directly supporting the objectives set-out within the Safer West Mercia Communities Plan, and aligning with the region's Community Safety Partnerships' priorities.
PALS forms part of how the force drives for cohesion and equity, working with suppliers in actively supporting staff to professionally (and personally) develop so as to develop in their careers and interactions within West Mercia communities.
All suppliers can support PALS
Within the DICM (West Mercia) social value marketplace area, any supplier to police, councils, NHS or criminal justice services can support PALS; as a long-running and impactful part of the safer communities objectives which can be locked into supply contracts.
