Established charity Community House is part of the first wave of impact-proven community organisations now being supported by business social value within the Pluggin Marketplace; this is where public procurement of business services and goods generate a contract social value which connects-into and resources the activities of local charities.
For the last 50 years Community House has been providing a safe space for people in Maindee and surrounding areas.
The charity brings people together from all ages, backgrounds and faiths, offering practical and emotional support to young people, families and community members, whether that’s listening to challenges, laughing over a cup of coffee, being creative, or cooking together. With an emphasis on peace, they work
locally: facilitating and supporting activities with individuals and groups,
nationally: working together with other organisations, and
globally: building connections across countries.

Community House is known as a multi-cultural, multi-faith community centre in Newport, serving the neighbourhood of Maindee and beyond.
Their mission is to build a stronger, caring community together. They do this through the power of communication, learning from each other and working together peacefully.
The building is owned by the Presbyterian Church of Wales and leased to a charity, Community House (Eton Road), which relies on income from its room hire to run the building, supported by a pool of volunteers.
Supplier social value is now resourcing Community House, to sustain the impact already being made...
In line with the Police & Crime Plan objectives, suppliers to police and wider public bodies can now operate the social value within contracts in collaboration with Community House - aligned to these objectives, and a process operated exclusively within the Pluggin Marketplace.
Marketplace member businesses can click below to start this process within their bids.
