Impact leadership and investing since 2008
In 2008, social entrepreneur Jay Baughan opened Jaysco as a consultancy service working with public bodies and international aid organisations; specialising in supporting the operations and sustainability of NGOs and charities, through a social impact bond-style approach (impact delivering taxpayer returns on government investment).
From within Nigeria, in partnership with the Federal Government of Nigeria's Niger Delta Amnesty Program, the Activ8Change (later renamed Pluggin) model was created to engage international brands into supporting socio-economic development through the Africa Centre for Human Capital Development (sat under a Public Private Partnership Agreement).
Connections where everyone wins...
The Pluggin model was a success, balancing the marketer need for brand awareness and engagement within markets, and digitally connecting businesses into the activities inside communities (where consumers live).
In 2016, with bases in Nigeria and the UAE, Jaysco established a digital development environment connecting business brands with teams within schools and NGOs (where brand sponsorship funded professional training in emotional intelligence and trauma-informed youth development).

The Pluggin Ecosystem Limited
Coming out of the global Covid 19 pandemic, Jaysco saw that the funding model used by charities and NGOs was flawed; philanthropy, grants and governmental investment into non-profit based communities services drying up.
In the UK, it was clear a different and communities-led approach was needed and this required infrastructure, technology and sustainable funding.
The Pluggin Ecosystem, structured commercially as social enterprise entity to make it self-sufficient, was established in 2021. This utilises all of Jaysco's IP and models and was seed-funded by Jaysco until January 2025.

Focus, Philanthropy and Trust
Jaysco is led by Jay Baughan and the Baughan family. Jay has built a reputation for helping communities sustain change for over 17 years, welcomed into the homes and meeting rooms of villagers and officials on 3 continents.
In 2020, during the global Covid 19 pandemic Jay converted Jaysco into a Family Office to focus upon impact philanthropy and investment.
Jaysco provides gifts and investments to underpin activities making a dual impact, Jay utilises the Pluggin and SEDi models to help facilitate the additional resources needed for the sustainability of NGOs and charities.
