Once upon a time in Africa...

Pluggin as a community impact model began in West Africa, back in 2014.

Back then, our founder Jay Baughan created the way for maximising international business marketing (advertisers) through commercial brand sponsorship of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) impact within Nigeria, Ghanaian, Sudanese and South African communities... over a decade later, we're still doing it.

Jay Baughan

Chief Executive

Founding director and major shareholder, Jay created the ecosystem and leads on growth and public sector partnerships.

Stan Millership

Executive Director

A founding director and ecosystem shareholder, Stan leads our ecosystem membership support and cyber resilience.

Becky Sprenger

Marketing Development

An ecosystem shareholder, Becky leads on brand development and the marketing design and operations for the social enterprise.

Technology Development

An ecosystem shareholder, Umar leads our full-stack architecture engineering, shaping performant with PHP, Java, and JavaScript.

An ecosystem shareholder and SEN education entrepreneur, Abide supports our push to for strategic regional SEN collaborations.

Nathan Dodzo

Executive Director

Nathan is an ecosystem shareholder and is the founder and executive director of our non-profit Pluggin Studios (see below).

One of the THREE elements of the ecosystem is our Pluggin Studios; the brainchild of Nathan Dodzo who, for over 25 years, has successfully built and operated youth-led filmmaking units within colleges and faith centres across the globe.

As executive director of the Pluggin Studios, Nathan leads a team comprised of experienced filmmakers and young community impact storytellers, which is regionally supplemented by students and graduates who are building-out their professional portfolios as freelance film crew members. 

As a seasoned university programme leader/senior lecturer in Creative Media and Journalism, Nathan also oversees the Learning & Development support provided to our member charity & social enterprise teams; being helped to capture and produce insightful digital content lifting the lid on their community provisions funded from within our Pluggin Marketplace.

Luke Tapley

Documentary Making

An industry specialist, Luke leads on the production of video documentaries (long & short form).

Enoch Nkatia

Film Ops & Editing

Enoch operates as a specialist member of the Film Unit, with camera operations and final editing activities.

Samuel Allen

Digital Campaigns

Sam supports the studios with media and innovation to craft compelling, insight-driven campaigns.

Nina Baughan

Social Media 

Nina joined Pluggin in 2022, and is studying full-time to become a forensic psychologist.

 

Emily Draper

Social Media

Emily joined in 2024, and is studying filmmaking at college, producing our social media video-shorts.

Membership Team

Since we launched in 2021, Stan Millership has built and led our dedicated membership development and support activities. Today, this is operated through a team who are on hand to help onboard and support our business, charity & social enterprise, public procurement and university members across the 12 UK regions. 

The Pluggin Ecosystem Limited is incorporated in England & Wales operating as a social enterprise, 100% shareholder funded until January 2025.

The enterprise operates a not-for-profit business model; specifically investing 100% of revenues into making the ecosystem financially self-sufficient through commercial autonomy and not beholden to grant funder agendas. Our shareholders ensure that we scale to meet the real needs of the charities and social enterprises in our ecosystem, to ensure they continue to deliver community impact.
